SCIENTIFIC AND METHODOLOGICAL SEMINAR «WAYS HOW TO TEACH PUPILS TO WRITE SCIENTIFIC PAPERS»

On February 16, 2024, the  methodological seminar "Ways how to teach pupils to write scientific papers" organized by Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Institute of Professional Development  of Almaty was held in the assembly hall of gymnasium No. 202 of  Auezov  district  in  Almaty city .  The teaching staff  of the Department of Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory of   Al-Farabi Kazakh National University were invited to this methodological seminar as speakers. The   schoolmaster  of Gymnasium No. 202, Mr. Bolat Zhanaikhan, and subject teachers, who asked several questions about research work took part in the seminar.

          The purpose of this methodological seminar was  to familiarize subject teachers with the methods  of writing scientific papers, sparkle  an  interest of pupils  in writing scientific papers, and develop the creative abilities of gifted children.

          The school teachers were shown a plan for writing scientific papers  and the requirements  for writing research papers based on the provision recommended by "Daryn" scientific and practical  center. In particular, the teacher were told about  the structure, the object of research, methods and the  content of a  scientific paper.

 The speakers also made an interesting reports about  "Kazakh folklore", "Kazakh literature of the twentieth century", "Oratory", "Children's Literature". During the seminar the teaching staff of Al-Farabi KazNU gave a detailed answers to the questions asked by the teachers.

          Based on  scientific and methodological seminar, the requirements of research work with comprehensive system data were explained to the  subject teachers. The seminar participants  were also provided with valuable information about the  significance of choosing  topics for  a  scientific project, the relevance of the topic, scientific novelty, and pupils’  age characteristics.  The school teachers received a valuable and useful information  on the methods of writing scientific papers.  

          The course organized by Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Institute of Professional Development  of Almaty within the framework of the effective training program for professors and teachers, scheduled for March (72 hours), was attended by the administration of  gymnasium No.202 and teachers of the Kazakh language and literature.

          At the end of the seminar, Tolkunova Karlygash, a teacher of Kazakh language and literature, organized a meeting  of the teaching staff of  Al-Farabi  Kazakh National University with  the pupils  of the 11th grade of the gymnasium school. The pupils were told about faculties and educational programs of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. They were also shown   a 90-year history of the university. The schoolchildren was presented one of the issues of   "Kazakh University" newspaper.  The career guidance work was carried out at a high level. By the end of the meeting the speakers expressed a great hope to see the pupils of Gymnasium 202 among the students of Al-Farabi KazNU.
