Affordable and clean energy

On February 17, 2024, an educational hour was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University the 1st year master’ s degree  students of "Foreign Philology" major  Balpankul B. B.  and Kadir A. S., senior curator Bayeli A. J. and advisor the Azimbayeva I. K.  From  the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation of the  Faculty of Philology held an event on the topic: “Affordable and clean energy" within the framework of  Sustainable Development Goals   with  the 1st year students of  "6B02304 - Foreign Philology" major. The purpose of the open educational hour was  to introduce students to technologies that do not harm our nature in the world and Kazakhstan and produce affordable energy. To achieve this goal, interesting facts and statistics related to electricity in the modern world and Kazakhstan were demonstrated. Information was also provided on solar, wind and water power plants, which are a source of clean energy in Kazakhstan. In order to check the students' understanding of the information received in the lessons, a test was carried out.  During the practical part  the students were divided into three groups and analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of solar, wind and water energy. As a result of the lesson,  they expressed their thoughts on the importance of energy saving and the benefits of energy saving.
At the end of the event  the participants expressed their gratitude to the organizers, noting that the information provided was useful and interesting .
