Cygan Serenade

February 25, 2024 in honor of the 90th anniversary  Kazakh National University named afterAl-Farabi and UN SDG-4 advisor, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics M. K. Bisenova and students of 201 group visited the Drama Theater named afterMukhtar Auezov with the next performance “Cygan Serenade". 

“Cygan Serenade" is one of the most striking works on the theatrical stage. This work, dedicated to the spirit of the famous Shamshi, symbolizes the fate of the composer. The play shows that the grandfather of the Kazakh song Shamshi Kaldayakov was expelled from the conservatory and, going through difficult times, joined the crowd of gypsies. The baron's love for a gypsy daughter named Isolde enlivens the song "Cygan Serenade". The song tells about the poetic drama of Israil Saparbai "Cygan Serenade", dedicated to the fate of Mahabbat Shamshi. 

   This production, shown on the stage of the Kazakh State Academic Drama Theater named after Mukhtar Auezov, made a strong impression on the students and evokes special feelings. The melodic drama was also filled with sincere impressions.
