The Olympiad “LUKOIL.PETROGAMES-2024” was held at KazNU

At the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of KazNU named after. al-Farabi, as part of the 90th anniversary of the university and program implementation Sustainable Development Goal 8, the LUKOIL.PETROGAMES-2024 Olympiad was held with the support of “LUKOIL Lubricants Central Asia”.

The Olympiad was organized jointly by the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis, and Petrochemistry; SPE KazNU and representatives of the company "LUKOIL Lubricants Central Asia" for 3-4 years of undergraduate studies in basic chemical sciences (general and inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, organic chemistry). The total prize fund was 200 thousand tenge.

The Olympiad was held in two rounds: “Qualification” (1st round), which was testing and “Final” (2nd round), which was a quiz using Kahoot software and 4 tasks in 4 basic chemical sciences. The opening of the Olympiad was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Ph.D., Associate Professor A.K. Galeeva, Head of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor E.A. Aubakirov, Deputy Head of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry, Bakirova B.S., representatives of the company "LUKOIL Lubricants Central Asia" Barabashov S.S., SPE KazNU President Zabara N.A.
