On March 15th, one of the large-scale projects of the Public Foundation "Komek" took place at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University - the "Bright Star 2024" young artists competition. The aim of the project is to establish close ties between children with disabilities and society, as well as to identify and support the talents of these children.
Participants of the project:
Special Boarding School No. 4 for Blind and Visually Impaired Children named after N. Ostrovsky.
Special Boarding School No. 6 for Children with Intellectual Disabilities.
Specialized Complex "Zhanuya".
Sanatorium "Bereke".
Special (Corrective) Boarding School No. 7 for Children with Disabilities.
Prize Fund:
Grand Prize - 300,000 tenge.
1st Place - 150,000 tenge.
2nd Place - 100,000 tenge.
3rd Place - 70,000 tenge.
4th Place - 50,000 tenge.
In addition, nominations include:
Best Vocal Performance,
Best Plot,
Best Choreography,
Best Acting Skills.
One of the innovations this year: the winning boarding schools or faculties participating from orphanages (i.e., prepared faculties) will receive a cash prize of 40,000 tenge.
