Karime Abidkulova, a 2nd year doctoral student of the major 8D05108 - Geobotany of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, has recently returned from Hungary, where she studied during the autumn semester 2023 through the Erasmus + programme. The study took place at the Department of Botany, Institute of Biology and Ecology, University of Debrecen (Debrecen, Hungary). During this time Karime Abidkulova attended lectures by Associate Professor Gabor Shramko on "Plant molecular taxonomy", practical classes on "Plant molecular taxonomy practice", and did her research work on DNA extraction and quality control of tissue samples of rare plants collected in Kazakhstan to understand their genetic structure and to obtain population genetics data for conservation purposes.
