Meeting with representatives of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg

On April 11, 2024, at the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences of the Farabi university, lecturers of the Meteorology and Hydrology Department held a meeting with representatives of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. The meeting was dedicated to discussing important issues on capacity building in the field of integrated water resources management in Central Asia. During the discussion, various aspects related to integrated water resources management were touched upon, including issues of educational programs and student populations.

During the visit, representatives of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg also visited the research center, the Kazakh-Chinese Earth Remote Sensing Laboratory and a meteorological training station, where advanced developments and research in the field of hydrometeorology were presented and rational environmental management.
