Online seminar on the topic "Critical Discourse Theory in Translation Studies"

On April 19, 2024,  Faculty of International Relations, Department of Diplomatic Translation organized online seminar with Gulshat Tusip Bakytzhankyzy on the topic "Critical Discourse Theory in Translation Studies".

Gulshat Tusip Bakytzhankyzy is Cand. of Philological Sciences, PhD, University of Aberdeen (Scotland).  She graduated from the University of Leeds (England) with a master's degree in Educational Leadership and Policy;

She has translated several literary works from English into Kazakh, including Oscar Wilde “The Picture of Dorian Gray”, W. Somerset Maugham “The Moon and Sixpence”, Edgar Allan Poe’s 10 stories, Lawrence Lessig  “Free culture” (Law), Jan Gehl “Cities for people» (Architecture) and etc.
