Editorial-Publishing Center named after Zeinollah Sanik opened in KazNU

At the Faculty of Journalism of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University a republican conference was held on the theme: "Modern publishing business of Kazakhstan and creativity of writer-ethnographer Zeinollah Sanik".

Within the framework of the event the Editorial and Publishing Center named after the outstanding writer, editor, ethnographer, translator Zeinollah Sanik was opened.

Zhamila Aitzhanova, member of the board of directors - vice-rector for scientific and innovative activities of KazNU, noted that this center will give students a great opportunity to put their knowledge into practice, i.e. to publish newspapers, magazines and brochures.

The conference discussed topical issues related to the writer's creative heritage and publishing.

The event was attended by Ulykbek Yesdaulet, Chairman of the Union of Writers of TURKSOY, Mereke Kulkenov, Chairman of the Board of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, Kenzhekhan Matyzhanov, Director of the M. Auezov Institute of Literature and Art, Adil Koitanov, Director of the Book Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan, President of the Association of Publishers, Printers and Book Distributors of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Rahimgali Kul-Muhamed, President of Atamura Corporation LLP, and other prominent writers, publishers and scientists.

Researchers of the M. Auezov Institute of Literature and Art made reports, in which they analyzed the work of Zeinollah Sanik.

The participants of the conference noted the merits of Zeinollah Sanik in Kazakh literature and publishing.

"It is a great honor and responsibility for us to open an auditorium named after the writer, ethnographer, translator Zeinollah Sanik within the walls of the Journalism Department of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Finally, we are also opening the Editorial and Publishing Center, which contributes to the quality of education and sharpens the experience of young people. New techniques are presented here for students who want to become experts in the field of publishing, design. The center is equipped with a color printer, a screen for lectures, a round table and modern furniture. Here, students can prepare and publish newspapers, magazines and mini-books," said the executive director of Zeynollah Sanik Serik Cultural Foundation. Zeynollah Sanik Serik Kaliyev.

The President of Atamura Corporation LLP Rahimgali Kul-Muhamed presented 100 books on the occasion of the opening of the new center.

Within the framework of the republican conference, the students and master students of the competition organized by the Department of Publishing-Editing and Design Art were awarded in the nominations "Best Publishing Publication", "Best Scientific Work", "Best Work of Design Art". The winners of the competition received a one-time financial grant from the Zeynollah Sanik Cultural Foundation. Zeynollah Sanik.

In addition, breakout sessions were held on the topics: "Current Problems of Publishing" and "Creative Heritage and Editorial Skill of Zeynollah Sanik".
