KazNU develops scientific and technical direction with China

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with a working visit visited the delegation of Scientific and Technical Bureau in Jinan, China and representatives of Powerchina Sepco1 Electric Power Construction Co.Ltd.

During the visit, the delegation met with the leadership of the higher education institution and exchanged views on partnership development.

The delegation included Chen Siu, head of Jinan Science and Technology Bureau Department of Jinan City, Yang Xinxing, deputy head of Jinan City Administrative Committee for Economic and Scientific Development, Jia Yuanchao, executive director of international projects of Powerchina Sepco1 Electric Power Construction Co.Ltd, Liu Tongyi, first deputy director of the company's branch office in the Republic of Kazakhstan, project manager of CHPP-2, and others.

At the meeting the member of the Board - Vice-Rector for Operations Yerkin Duisenov, welcoming the honored guests, dwelt on the achievements of KazNU. Also in his speech, the Vice-Rector informed about the partnership of the university with Chinese universities and companies.

"In the campus of KazNU there are certification centers, institutes and academies of high-tech companies Samsung, Hewlett-Packard, Cisco, Copisa Minolta, Fujitsu, Alcatel, Microsoft, Kaspersky Lab, Huawei, etc.". Today KazNU maintains close relations with higher educational institutions and large companies of the People's Republic of China. The University has a Department of Chinese Studies and Confucius Institute, - said the Vice-Rector.

In turn, the head of the Department of Scientific and Technical Bureau of Jinan Chen Siu thanked the leadership of the university for a warm welcome. Also in his speech the guest of honor expressed interest in increasing partnership with KazNU.

During the meeting, Yerkin Duisenov, member of the Management Board and Vice-Rector for Operations, and Liu Tunyi, First Deputy Director of Powerchina Sepco1 Electric Power Construction Co.Ltd branch in Kazakhstan, signed a memorandum of partnership.

After the meeting the guests of honor familiarized themselves with the scientific infrastructure of KazNU.
