The Olympiad on the educational program "Accounting and Audit" was held in KazNU

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted the XVI Republican Student Subject Olympiad "Topical issues of accounting, auditing and analysis in the digital economy for sustainable development (SDG)".

Student youth from different regions of the country took part in the event organized by the Department of Finance and Accounting of the Graduate School of Economics and Business of KazNU.

At the opening of the Olympiad Dean of the Higher School of Economics and Business Lyayla Bimendieva wished all participants good luck.

"Today's Olympiad is held on the educational program "Accounting and Auditing". This year is significant for Al-Farabi KazNU. After all, this year the leading university celebrates 90 years since the establishment of the institution of higher education. It is also 75 years since the establishment of one of the fundamental faculties - the Higher School of Economics and Business. The Olympiad is aimed at revealing professional abilities of future specialists-economists and support of talented youth", - said the dean.

12 teams expressed their desire to participate in the Olympiad.  According to the results of the first stage, 8 teams, recognized as the best, passed to the second stage. At the second stage 8 teams solved problems and answered test questions.

According to the results of the Olympiad, the first place was taken by the team of Almaty Technological University, the second place was taken by the teams of AlmaU and Al-Farabi KazNU. The third place was awarded to the team of Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, Turan University and Caspian University.

The winners were awarded diplomas and special prizes.
