Teachers of KazNU will have an opportunity to take an internship in the USA

Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebaev held a meeting with the head of the educational center Steppe Global Education, representative of the International Institute of Education (IIE) in Central Asia Joel Erickson and the head of the project "Mamandygym - bolashagym" Samgat Ermekbaev.

The parties considered new opportunities in the implementation of joint goals in the field of education and science, discussed issues of activation of partnership on commercialization of scientific projects.

During the meeting the head of the university noted that KazNU relations with universities of Central Asia and the USA are rapidly developing.

In his speech Zhanseit Tuimebaev voiced proposals to hold a forum of universities of Kazakhstan and the United States on the basis of KazNU and joint opening of the scientific center. He also proposed to organize summer camps for students studying in the universities of the United States and Central Asia.

In turn, Joel Erickson noted that for teachers of Kazakhstani universities there is a great opportunity without obstacles to pass internship in the USA under the program "Fulbright". This project is very effective for teachers who speak English.

Also, the head of the project "Mamandygym - bolashagym" Samgat Ermekbaev, who took part in the meeting, noted the high relevance of this initiative and expressed confidence that an effective partnership will be established.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to hold a number of events on exchange of students and teachers, holding international conferences and forums, commercialization of scientific projects.
