Rector of KazNU paid a working visit to Singapore

As part of a working visit to Singapore, Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev visited the Singapore office of QS World University Rankings. The head of the university held a meeting with Monica Hornung Kattan, Global Director for Strategic Partnerships and Engagement at QS Quacquarelli Symonds.

The Regional Director of QS International Rating Agency for Russia, Eastern Europe, Central Asia Sergey Khristolyubov, QS Events Manager Sean Pereira, managers and experts also took part in the meeting.

The parties discussed the organization of the QS Pre-Summit, which will be held in KazNU on November 1, 2024.

In his speech, Zhanseit Tuimebaev noted that QS is one of the most authoritative and representative rankings of universities in the world, so KazNU will provide full support in organizing and holding the event at the highest level.

In turn, Monica Kattan, Global Director for Strategic Partnerships and Engagement at QS Quacquarelli Symonds, introduced Zhanseit Tuimebayev and other participants of the meeting to the program of the QS Pre-Summit. Monica Hornung also thanked the Rector of KazNU for the great support and interest in hosting the international event. 

In addition, during the meeting the issues of further development of cooperation in the field of higher education were discussed.

In conclusion, the parties agreed to fulfill all obligations aimed at organizing the QS Pre-Summit at a large-scale level.

It is worth reminding that this year KazNU plans to hold the QS Summit on Higher Education in the Asia-Pacific region. It is expected that 800 experts in the field of higher education from almost 50 countries of the world will take part in its work.
