Information systems and cyber security issues discussed

Al-Farabi KazNU hosted an international scientific-practical conference "Information Systems and Cyber Security" dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the university and the 50th anniversary of the Department of Information Systems.

The conference was attended by scientists from Kazakhstan and European countries, graduates and doctoral students of KazNU.

Zhamila Aitzhanova, Member of the Board - Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovative Activities of Al-Farabi KazNU, made a welcoming speech and noted the importance of the development of information systems and cyber security.

Also at the event spoke: President, Rector of the Caspian University of Technology and Engineering named after Shahmardan Yesenov Berik Akhmetov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC "Central Securities Depository" Mikhail Grishko, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Technology and Cybersecurity of the International University of Information Technology Nurgul Seilova, who noted the relevance of training specialists in the field of information systems and cybersecurity today.

At the plenary session, Honorary Academicians of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ualsher Tekeyev, Professor of Istanbul Technical University Eshref Adali, Academician of the National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Akhmetov, Head of the Department of Cybersecurity of the International University of Information Technology Saule Amanzholova, as well as Kazakhstani and foreign scientists, qualified experts exchanged views and shared experiences.

The conference work continued within the framework of the sections "Cyber Security", "Innovations in Computational Linguistics and Natural Language Processing", "IT Management and Innovations in Information Systems".

The sections heard reports of theoretical, practical and applied nature of scientific discoveries in the field of information systems and cyber security.

The scientific meetings discussed the development of informatics and information technologies in the country, training of cybersecurity specialists, improvement of research, analytical work in the industry.
