Project “Best Student – ​​2024” and “Best Student Group – 2024”

The university hosted the final evening of awarding the projects “Best Student – ​​2024” and “Best Student Group – 2024”, which is traditionally held annually, organized by the trade union of students and undergraduates “Sunkar”.
The “Best STUDENT” project is a high-level event dedicated to students’ high academic achievements, leadership qualities and contributions to the university community. And the “Best Student Group” project is one of the unprecedented projects of the Sunkar trade union of students and undergraduates, which contributes to the development of student youth, education of leaders and determination of the country’s development path.

As part of the “Best Student – ​​2024” project, 17 students from 16 faculties passed the interfaculty stage. For the 1st round of the project, a video broadcast was held on the topic “My profession is my future”, where out of 17 student participants, 9 students made it to the 2nd round. In the 2nd round, our participants competed with their knowledge in the Question and Answer section “Brain ring”. In the 3rd round, students participating in the project “What can I give to KazNU?” presented his project. The most controversial stage of the competition was the final. At this stage, students defended their projects at a very high level. As a result, the winners of the “Best Student – ​​2024” competition were as follows:
1. 1st place – student of the Faculty of Philology Kadirova Asem Bashirkyzy;
2. 2nd place – student of the Higher School of Economics and Business Bazarbekova Zhanerke Shyngyskyzy;
3. Third place – student of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, Dagistanova Marzhan Abdilabekkyzy;

In total, within the framework of the “Best Student Group – 2024” project, 12 student groups passed the interfaculty stage. Stage I – “Video competition”, as a result of which 6 student groups advanced to the next stage. Stage II, student groups competed among themselves in an unusual “team building” format. At stage III, the participating groups presented startup projects for the improvement of KazNU in the “Quiz and StartUP” task and were recognized as erudite during the quiz. As a result, the winners of the “Best Student Group – 2024” competition were as follows:
1. 1st place – group “Journalism – 103” of the Faculty of Journalism;
2. 2nd place – group “Management K-1” of the Higher School of Economics and Business;
3. III place – group “Data Science – 0321” of the Faculty of Information Technology;
In addition, students and student groups who took part and were active in the project were awarded letters of gratitude.
