Scientific cooperation with the Free University of Amsterdam

Scientists of Al-Farabi KazNU and Free University of Amsterdam (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Amsterdam, the Netherlands) realize the international EU project ERASMUS+ academic mobility of teachers.

The project on the part of Al-Farabi KazNU involves: Head of the Department of Sociology and Social Work, Doctor of Sociological Sciences, Professor G.Abdiraiymova, Doctor of Sociological Sciences, Associate Professor N.Shedenova, PhD D.Burkhanova).
Within the framework of the project there was a meeting with the coordinator of the International Network of Universities of Social Responsibility (USRN) of the Free University of Amsterdam Gagan Kaur.
At present it is necessary to note the significant contribution of Al-Farabi KazNU to the implementation of projects of this network.  Since 2019, Al-Farabi KazNU is its active member and participant of cooperation in addressing a variety of issues of social, cultural and environmental nature in the country and in the world. During the meeting, the issues of transformation of higher education and achievement of global sustainable development goals (SDGs 4, 10), as well as the role of universities in the effective generation of socially significant ideas and projects were discussed. At the same time, the issues of participation of the network member parties in the upcoming USR-2024 summit in Beijing were discussed.
