Prospects of cooperation in the field of chemistry and petrochemistry were discussed

Mr. Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, received Mr. Alexander Sesorov, Head of Development Projects of SIBUR Corporate University.

During the meeting the parties discussed the status and prospects of bilateral cooperation in the field of chemistry and petrochemistry.

Alexander Sesorov, Director of SIBUR Corporate University, informed Zhanseit Tuimebaev about the activities of SIBUR, the largest oil and gas chemical company in Russia, which is engaged in the production of polymers and rubbers. Then the guest of honor dwelled on the main issues of partnership development between KazNU and SIBUR University.

"We have a great desire to cooperate with universities in Kazakhstan, namely KazNU. We want to implement joint network programs with your university. We have a great interest in the training and development of faculty and students. For our part, we will be able to provide an opportunity for KazNU teachers to undergo internships at our enterprises. Also we are interested in training of scientific specialists on your master's programs. In addition, we have extensive experience in the implementation of digital projects. We are ready to share our knowledge with you", - said Alexander Sesorov.

In turn, the rector of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi noted that within the walls of the university there is a faculty of chemistry and chemical technology, which currently trains more than 1500 students in 21 specialties and three levels of training.

At the end of the meeting Zhanseit Tuimebaev expressed support for all initiatives and proposals of Alexander Sesorov and emphasized that he hopes for fruitful joint work.
