Familiarized themselves with the activities of the research facilities and the results of the work carried out

Members of the Board of Directors of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University visited the Scientific Center for Sustainable Development and Environmental Management, which includes 10 laboratories.

Among the delegation: President of the KazNU Alumni Association Kairat Mami, ex-chairman of the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Law Musabek Alimbekov, ex-chairman of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Combating Corruption Alik Shpekbaev, Major General of Justice Mukhtar Zhurgenbaev, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Myrzakarim Alshynbaev.

The guests of honor were shown high-precision equipment and the latest techniques that allow to obtain timely and reliable results in a short period of time.  

Further, the members of the Board of Directors were familiarized with the activities of the Kazakh-Chinese joint laboratory "Remote Sensing and Application Technology" and the results of the work carried out here. 

The Center monitors environmental problems in the Central Asian region, such as water scarcity, drought, and land degradation caused by climate change.

Having examined the research laboratories of the higher educational institution the president of the KazNU Alumni Association Kairat Mami thanked the employees of the center for a responsible approach to their duties and expressed confidence that these facilities will serve for the benefit of the country.
