An award ceremony was held for Summer School participants from Xinjiang University (PRC)

At the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University the closing ceremony of the First International Summer School “Environmental Protection-2024” on the topic “Methods of assessing the anthropogenic impact on the environment: geosystems, society, education, culture and worldview” took place, organized by the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences, for Xinjiang University’s students.

The Dean of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences Aliya Aktymbayeva noted that the Summer School was a significant stage in the development of cooperation between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Xinjiang University: “Today we are completing our unique and fruitful work within the framework of the First International Summer School “Environmental Protection-2024”, which has become an international youth platform for achieving the UN SDGs. These goals are a beacon that guides us towards a more equitable and sustainable future for all.”

Next, the participants were presented with certificates of successful completion of the Summer School on behalf of the Member of the Board - Vice-Rector for Operations Yerkin Duissenov. Summer School participants:
