A meeting of the Kazakh National University representatives and representatives of the Northwestern Polytechnic University branch

A meeting of the Kazakh National University representatives and representatives of the Northwestern Polytechnic University branch was held at the Deputy chairman's of the board office. On behalf of KazNU at the Meeting presented: Deputy chairman of the board Duisenov Ye.E., Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Kazmagambetov A.G.,  Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Technology Beisen N.A., Director of the Department of International Cooperation Omirzhanov E.T., Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Technology for Scientific Work and International Relations Peshaya S.L.  On behalf of NPU there were the Department of International Cooperation Zhang Qi ( Elya) and Sung Qing (Sylvia). At the meeting the following issues were discussed: the first year of the NPU branch operation results, issues of continuing cooperation, opening a joint laboratory, the possibility of holding a camp at KazNU as part of academic mobility, and the work of the admissions committee.

At the meeting, the parties also discussed how master’s students are admitted to joint educational programs and summed up the results of the “Microsatellite Experience 2024” Summer Camp that took place in June in North-West Polytechnic University (Xi’an, China).

Since Chinese President Xi Jinping in his speech “China and Kazakhstan: a common desire for new horizons”, noted the great role of the NWPU branch in establishing the organization of joint training and joint research among universities, think tanks, and research institutes of China and Kazakhstan, KazNU contributed proposal to create a joint laboratory of KazNU and North-West Polytechnic University for technical training of undergraduates and conduct a “summer school” as part of academic mobility in October.
