KazNU staff took part in the city August summit
The teaching staff headed by the Chairman of the Board - Rector of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi Zhanseit Tuimebayev took part in the August summit of teachers ‘Digital Kazakhstan: education in a new reality’, timed to the beginning of the new academic year.
The event was attended by more than 2,500 educators, Kazakhstani and international experts, including the Chairman of the Committee on Socio-Cultural Development of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Aimagambetov, deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nuriya Niyazova, Akim of Almaty Yerbolat Dosaev, representatives of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and rectors of universities.
Akim of Almaty Yerbolat Dosayev congratulated teachers on the coming new academic year.
‘This year's summit programme focuses on the integration of modern digital tools and artificial intelligence into the educational process. This integration will open new opportunities to improve teaching and learning. There are a number of projects underway in Almaty where digital solutions are significantly changing and improving the educational content for our children. For example, the projects Kitap.kz, TopIQ.kz, AlmatyKids.kz have successfully proved themselves, and a new project of virtual tutor based on artificial intelligence is planned to be introduced in the pilot mode,’ the head of the city said.
During the summit, a plenary session was held to discuss the issues of professional development of teachers, introduction of innovations in the educational process and identify new vectors for the development of the education sector.
The meeting also discussed the issues of state policy in the field of digitalisation of education and digital innovations, cybersecurity of children and teachers, including ethical aspects.
At the end of the event, the city's teachers were presented with awards for their contribution to the development of education.
