Farabi Business School supported the Accelerate project
Farabi International Business School supported the Accelerate project, implemented by the Girls Power Foundation.
The main goal of the ACCELERATE program is to provide training and mentorship for 300 young women who own small and/or medium-sized businesses, focusing on digital and business skills. The program also aims to help these women improve and scale their existing businesses to create more jobs and increase income levels. The program was available to women entrepreneurs from three Central Asian countries: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. The organizers received 1,509 applications for the program, of which 351 were selected.
Faculty from the business school, including FIBS Deputy Director Kyyal Tukembayeva, as well as business trainers Murat Dzhakishev and Kubat Chopiev, conducted weekly Zoom sessions for two months on topics such as "Business Scaling," "Financial Management," and "Entrepreneurial Skills and Personal Development." In addition, each instructor led two mentoring groups of 10-12 people, holding both group and individual mentoring sessions.
At the end of the program, 300 participants received certificates, and 13 of them advanced to the final pitch session for investment opportunities.
By supporting this project, Farabi International Business School made a significant contribution to the development of women's entrepreneurship in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. This was highlighted in a letter of gratitude from the organizer of this program, the Independent Girls Power Foundation. The participants of the program expressed their appreciation on social media and personally to each instructor at Farabi International Business School.
