Аs part of the Silver University project
Since 2021, a project called "Silver University" has been implemented in the country. This initiative aims to develop knowledge and skills in citizens over 50 across various fields. It is a social activity designed to assist elderly citizens in self-development and activation. Silver University is one of the international projects developed to improve adaptation to society. The courses cover areas such as digital skills, foreign languages, entrepreneurship, law, culture, and much more.
The Department of Language and General Education for Foreign Students at the Pre-University Education Faculty has contributed to this project by organizing a Kazakh language lesson aimed at teaching those interested in communicating in the state language. The Kazakh language lesson was conducted by Gulbagiza Ablasymovna Mussayeva, a candidate of philological sciences and associate professor. During today's lesson, the participants were introduced to the unique sounds of the Kazakh language, learned about its phonetic features, and discovered the Kazakh names of surrounding objects. The lesson was well received by the attendees.
