Within the framework of SDG-3 “Healthy lifestyle and well-being”, the UNESCO Chair on Sustainable Development organized a trip for teachers and students of the educational programs “Life Safety and Environmental Protection”, “Ecological Engineering”, “Ecology”, “Geoecology” to the picturesque Ayusay gorge.
The main goal of the trip was not only to visit the natural beauty of the Almaty area, but also to promote the formation of sustainable healthy lifestyle skills among students. In addition, the trip helped to introduce students and teachers, strengthen team spirit, and hold events dedicated to the initiation of first-year students and the celebration of Teacher's Day.
The event was also organized in accordance with the objectives outlined in the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated September 2, 2024, which places special emphasis on healthy lifestyles, environmental protection, and the involvement of young people in active social life. The hike became a practical step in implementing these priorities, strengthening the links between education, environmental awareness, and the physical health of the participants.
