National drink in a new format: Kumys-Paty

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is actively implementing 17 areas of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Within the framework of the theme "good health and well-being", related to the 3rd direction of the Sustainable Development Program, the staff of the Department of History of Kazakhstan of the Faculty of History held an event to popularize our national drinks "National drink in a new format: Kumys-Paty" and branding our national drinks among young people.

This event was organized in the student dormitory No. 10 of our university, which was attended by 1st - 4th year students. The head of the department, Academician Karibayev Bereket Bakytzhanov, made a welcoming speech to the event, who shared with the students the history of the origin of kumis, as well as news and plans at our faculty and department. The event was also attended by the deputy head of the Department for educational, methodical and educational work, K. T. Associate Professor Noyanov Edil Noyanovich and Deputy Head of the Department for International Communications and Scientific and Innovative Work, Ph.D., Senior lecturer Arynov Zhumakan Makanovich and F. Kozybakova, N. Tasilova, J. Bekbauova are our teachers.

Students who took part in the event, along with koumiss, were given baursaks and one of the most common dairy products -kurt. The national drink koumiss is an indispensable remedy that, in addition to its specificity, occupies a place in the life of the country, brings great health benefits and increases immunity. The students also expressed special gratitude to the staff of the Kazakh department and their teachers.
