The V Eurasian Scientific and Practical School was launched
The V Eurasian Scientific and Practical School "Space of the World Economy: Ideas, Strategies, Interaction' started in Al-Farabim KazNU.
The event was organised by the Department of Economics of PFUR with the support of ECE, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and partner universities. This year, for the first time, the school is being held outside the Russian Federation at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. More than 100 students from universities of the EAEU and CIS member states are participating in the Eurasian School.
The purpose of the scientific school is to provide the participants with practical knowledge, skills in organising and conducting foreign economic activities from leading experts, representatives of Russian and foreign companies, state authorities, international organisations.
Zhamila Aitzhanova, member of the Board of Directors, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovative Activities, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, in which she noted the relevance and timeliness of the Eurasian Scientific and Practical School and wished the participants success and victories.
Bakhyt Sultanov, Doctor of Economics, Minister of Economy and Financial Policy of the EEC, also welcomed the participants. It is particularly pleasing that Kazakhstan, the heart of Eurasia, has become the venue for this event," the Minister said. - Special congratulations to Al-Farabi KazNU on its 90th anniversary! Over the years, the university has become a leading centre of education and science in the region. Today, we are on the threshold of a new era of the Eurasian Economic Union. Thanks to the free movement of people, goods, services and capital, economic ties between our countries are expanding, creating new opportunities for communication and development.
The event was also addressed by Inna Andronova, Doctor of Economics, Dean of the Faculty of Economics of the PFUR, Kuanysh Yelikbayev, Deputy Member of the Board for Economic and Financial Policy, Alina Batenova, Consultant of the Department for Customs Tariff Regulation of Benefits and Preferences of the Department for Customs Tariff Regulation, and others.
The rich programme of the school includes: a plenary session and a series of thematic master classes, a business game "Model EEC", during which the students will reproduce the work of the Commission. Participation in the scientific school will culminate in the preparation and defence of team projects aimed at introducing the national product/service to the foreign market.
