DISCUSSION OF REDUCING INEQUALITY AS A CONDITION FOR POVERTY ERADICATION
On October 10, 2024, K.A. Bakhmanova, Senior lecturer at the Department of Customs, Financial and Environmental Law, held a scientific seminar on the topic within the framework of the implementation of the UN Concept on Sustainable Development and SDG 1: "Reducing inequality as a condition for eradicating poverty" for students. The purpose of the scientific seminar is to discuss strategies and methods to reduce social and economic inequalities and to educate the legal awareness of young people. The moderator of the event was Dr. Yu.n., professor Kuanalieva G.A. The speaker was a 1st year student Kabyl A.
Recommendations of the scientific seminar on reducing inequality:
1. The need to develop and implement programs aimed at supporting low-income segments of the population, as well as creating conditions for their self-employment and involvement in economic activity.
2. Access to quality education and vocational training should be expanded, especially for young people and vulnerable groups of the population. Education is a key factor in overcoming poverty.
3. Government initiatives to eliminate digital inequality can provide people with more opportunities for self-development and employment in new sectors of the economy.
4. The importance of introducing environmentally friendly technologies and creating green jobs, especially in rural areas, can contribute to reducing poverty and inequality, as well as improving living conditions.
