Scientific seminar on "Legal Protection of the Climate"

The Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan symbolizes the independence and sovereignty of the country. 
Climate change presents a real and undeniable threat to our entire civilization. The consequences are already noticeable, and if we do not take action now, they could become catastrophic. Through education, innovation, and fulfilling climate protection commitments, we can bring about the necessary changes to protect the planet. These changes also open up great opportunities for modernizing our infrastructure, creating new jobs, and improving global well-being.
On October 24, 2024, Master's students specializing in "7M04212 Maritime and Energy Law (Baku MU)" Abilova D.T. and Nagmanov N.Zh. organized two scientific seminars titled "Sustainable Development Goals No. 13 – Climate Action" and "Legal Protection of the Climate" as part of their research practice. The seminars were attended by 2nd-year students of Group 209, who showed active interest in the topic and participated in the discussions.
Seminar Objective: To analyze and discuss measures aimed at combating climate change and its consequences. The seminar addressed key aspects of sustainable development, including greenhouse gas emission reduction, climate change adaptation, and the implementation of environmentally friendly technologies. The seminar was held in Kazakh, English, and Russian.

1.    Issues and goals addressed within the framework of Sustainable Development Goals No. 13.
2.    Key aspects of Kazakhstan's climate policy.
3.    Efficient use of water resources.
4.    Necessary measures to be implemented.
