International dialogue in higher education: QS Pre-Summit

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted the QS Higher Education: Asia Pacific 2024 Pre-Summit dedicated to the development of higher education. This international event was organised to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the QS Asia Pacific Summit. The meeting was attended by Jason Newman, Chief Commercial Officer of QS Quacquarelli Symonds, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek, Rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebaev and other representatives.

During the event, Minister Sayasat Nurbek presented a report on the current activities of domestic universities in the field of higher education and science. Rectors of 350 universities from 150 countries, including China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Azerbaijan, as well as international experts and heads of Kazakhstan's higher education institutions also took part in the discussion.

Dean of the Faculty of Law U.A. Akhatov and Head of the Department of Customs, Financial and Environmental Law G.A. Kunanalieva interacted with colleagues from leading universities, discussing international cooperation in the context of the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The faculty of the department exchanged contacts with the participants.
