The first graduates of the DBA program in Healthcare receive their diplomas
An important event took place at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University — the solemn awarding of diplomas to the graduates of the Farabi International Business School. The first 13 graduates of the "DBA in Healthcare" program (Doctor of Business Administration in Healthcare), launched in Kazakhstan several years ago, received their long-awaited diplomas.
In her congratulatory speech, Deputy Director of Farabi International Business School, Kyуal Tukembayeva, emphasized that the awarding of diplomas to the first doctors of business administration in healthcare marked an important milestone in the history of the university and business school. She pointed out that the school’s mission is to integrate the long-standing educational experience of KazNU, which is celebrating its 90th anniversary, with the latest trends in management and business administration that the school has actively implemented over the past five years.
Deputy Director Ermekbay Kanagat Alimzhanuly also highlighted the significance of this first cohort of healthcare doctoral graduates, noting their determination and hard work. He expressed confidence that being a graduate of KazNU would contribute to their successful careers and open new opportunities for them.
On that day, approximately 120 master's students who had completed the MBA and EMBA programs in healthcare also received their diplomas. This was the largest cohort in the history of the business school, marking a historic milestone for the institution. Inspired by the example set by the DBA graduates, many of them plan to continue their education to stay up to date with the latest trends in management. The graduates shared how their lives and the companies they work for have positively changed as a result of their education.
The business school offers a wide range of educational programs, including MBA courses in both Russian and English, as well as specialized EMBA and DBA programs in healthcare. These courses are designed with the modern needs of the market in mind, aimed at developing managerial skills and organizing the knowledge of top managers and business owners, as well as preparing highly qualified specialists.
