On November 5, 2024, in the dormitory no. 17 of the Philological Faculty of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, senior lecturer of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation, Baieli A. Zh. organized a meeting with the students within the framework of SDG4 "Quality education" on the topic: "Inclusive education". The purpose of the meeting was introduced the students to the problem of inclusive education and its application at our university.
The concept of inclusivity means "including myself" in Latin, and "mixing" in English. Inclusive education is the full inclusion of all children, including children with disabilities, in the general educational process and social adaptation, the elimination of barriers that deprive children regardless of gender, origin, religion, position, the call of parents to be active, special support for correctional, pedagogical and social needs of the child, i.e. the quality of the general education is preserved Education is considered a government policy aimed at effective learning.
In the specially approved academic policy of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in the special section "Inclusivity of education": "The educational environment of the university allows all students and students from the teacher's side to address each other on gender, race/ethnicity, religious beliefs, socio-economic status, physical health of the student, etc. despite this support and equal communication have always been conceived as a safe place." At the same time, each teacher introduces the basic principles of inclusive education into the syllabus, which should inform the teacher that he adheres to the principles of inclusive education, creating favorable conditions for all students. The university provides all conditions for students with disabilities.
During the meeting, the main principles of inclusive education were discussed:
* The value of a person is determined by his abilities and achievements.
* Everyone is capable of feeling and thinking.
* Everyone has the right to communicate.
* All people need each other.
* Education requires support and friendship with peers within the framework of real relationships.
* Achieving success for every child is the realization of what they can do at their own discretion.
* Universality expands the scope of human life development.
