"International Legal Center - Mediation Center"

On November 11, 2024, Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law, Doctor of Law, Zh.A. Kegembayeva, together with 2nd-year students of the Faculty of Law from Al-Farabi KazNU, visited the Republican Public Organization "International Legal Center - Mediation Center." The event was held within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 5: Gender Equality. The visitors were welcomed by the Center's director, international-class trainer-mediator Zhandilda Azhigalievich Zhakupov, who conducted an introductory discussion for the students. He highlighted the main tasks and goals of mediation procedures, various negotiation strategies, and ways participants interact in different types of conflict situations. Special emphasis was placed on the fact that both men and women successfully work in the field of mediation, showing that this demanding profession—requiring high emotional resilience, an understanding of human psychology, and an ability to reach legal compromises—offers equal opportunities for professional growth.

The students noted the lecturer's professionalism and experience, emphasizing the significance and usefulness of the event for their future legal careers. Visiting the Mediation Center allowed them to gain a deeper understanding of the importance of peaceful conflict resolution and the role of mediators in modern society.
