On November 29, 2024, the al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted the international scientific and practical conference "Pragmatic Experience of the Development of Eastern Countries." This significant event was dedicated to two anniversaries: the 70th birthday of Nurzhamal Aldabek Abdirazakkyzy, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, Orientalist scholar, Doctor of Historical Sciences, and Professor, as well as the 90th anniversary of al-Farabi KazNU, the country's leading scientific and educational center.

In the foyer of the 4th floor of the al-Farabi KazNU library, a photo exhibition dedicated to the life and scientific work of Professor Nurzhamal Aldabek Abdirazakkyzy, along with an exhibition of her scholarly works, was organized. Before the start of the event, conference attendees had the opportunity to view photo reports capturing key moments of the professor’s career, her participation in scientific forums, teaching activities, and meetings with colleagues.

The exhibition also featured the professor's books, articles, and monographs, reflecting her significant contribution to Oriental studies and cultural research. All attendees were able to familiarize themselves with works that made an essential contribution to the development of science, as well as the results of Nurzhamal Aldabek Abdirazakkyzy’s many years of research and scholarly publications.

Considering the scale of the event and the need to engage a wide international audience, the conference was held in a hybrid format. This allowed the integration of offline participants with those unable to attend in person. Scientists, diplomats, and experts from various parts of the world joined the discussions online, shared their ideas, and presented their research findings.

The conference brought together scientists, diplomats, government officials, and representatives of international organizations. Attendees included permanent representatives and ambassadors of Kazakhstan in various countries and international organizations, representatives of the consulates of China and Iran, as well as colleagues, students, and followers of Professor Aldabek.

The conference began with emotional speeches from colleagues and students of Professor Aldabek. Her students, whose professional achievements are a testament to her teaching excellence and inspirational guidance, delivered congratulatory messages and words of gratitude to Professor Nurzhamal Aldabek Abdirazakkyzy.

Among the speakers were those holding prominent positions in ministries, embassies, and consulates, as well as university rectors and deans, members of the National Security Committee, publishing representatives, and educators devoted to science and teaching. Additionally, congratulatory letters from consulate representatives, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, university rectors, and directors were read aloud, and video greetings from Kazakh ambassadors in various countries were presented.

In their speeches, her students noted that Professor Nurzhamal Aldabek Abdirazakkyzy was not only an outstanding teacher but also a mentor who guided them in their personal and professional lives. They shared memories of her support, inspiration, and unique ability to unlock the potential of every student. Many touching and amusing stories highlighted the richness and depth of interactions with this remarkable scholar.

One of the key moments of the conference was the presentation of new books by Professor Aldabek: "Gibratty Gұmyr", "Tarykhy Talkyga Toly Shyngzhang", and "Qytai Tarykhy". These works are the result of years of research dedicated to the history, culture, and economy of Eastern countries. The books reveal little-known aspects of the interaction between Eastern and Western countries, analyze modern challenges, and propose new approaches to overcoming them.

Professor Nurzhamal Aldabek Abdirazakkyzy was honored with the prestigious Great Gold Medal “For Outstanding Contribution to the Development of al-Farabi KazNU.” This award is not only a mark of respect but also a high acknowledgment of her exceptional contributions to the development of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
