“Gender Issues in Kazakh and World Literature”
Within the framework of of the “New Kazakhstan” initiative, the teaching staff of the Department of Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory conducts weekly events aimed at improving the education system, enhancing its quality, and fostering intellectually developed, conscientious, and responsible youth within the framework of the university’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
On November 28, 2024, within the framework of “SDG 5: Gender Equality,” the first-year doctoral students of the “8D02304 – Literary Studies”major, S.A. Urazgaliyeva and Rawan Bolat held an educational event on the topic: “Gender Issues in Kazakh and World Literature” under the guidance of senior lecturer PhD E.S. Seisenbayeva.
During the event, S.A. Urazgaliyeva presented a report on gender policy in Kazakh literature, while Rawan Bolat analyzed a novel related to gender policy in Korean literature. Given the relevance of gender policy in contemporary society, the students actively shared their opinions, making the lesson engaging and interactive in a discussion format.
The event also included an interactive quiz on gender policy. This quiz allowed the students to gain valuable insights. Additionally, the participants performed songs and recited poetry.
The educational event was highly engaging and captivating.
