The Department of Turkology and History of Eastern Countries of Al-Farabi KazNU and the faculty of Ibn Khaldun University (Turkey) held a one-month professional development seminar for Turkish language teachers on ‘Teaching Turkish in Kazakhstan’ within the framework of the SDG ‘Quality Education’.

 

The seminar was organised to improve the qualification of university teachers in the use of information and communication technologies, to get acquainted with the possibilities of artificial intelligence, to enrich the vocabulary and develop the language skills of students in the process of teaching Turkish.

At the training seminar, professors and teachers from Ibn Khaldun and Gazi Universities (Ankara), Istanbul and Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, Yunus Emre Institute conducted informative seminars and shared the best pedagogical experience on digitalisation of foreign language teaching and modern technologies.

The seminar was attended by teachers from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Abay Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University and Abylai Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages.

The participants expressed their gratitude to the seminar-training professors, the organisers of the seminar, Ibn Khaldun University (Turkey) and the Department of Turkology and History of Eastern Countries of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi. 

Letters of appreciation were awarded to the teachers of Ibn Khaldun University Furkan Alpat, Harun Aksu, Rumeysa Shishman, Melike Nur Cep, Merdiye Mansur, Sumeira Bozkurt Kahriman, Shura Faiziev, Gul Gonultash Sevincgil and acting professor of the Department of Turkology and History of Eastern Countries of Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, PhD Altynshash Kurmanali, who contributed to the seminar at a high level.

Turkish language teachers who successfully completed the professional development workshop were awarded an 80-hour international certificate.
