
As part of the celebration of the 90th anniversary, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted the IV annual international scientific and practical conference "Current issues of combating corruption", dedicated to the memory of doctor of law, professor Gulnara Useynova.
The scientific forum dedicated to the discussion of topical issues of combating corruption at the current stage of development of the Republic of Kazakhstan was organized by the Faculty of Law of KazNU in cooperation with the research institute of anti-corruption technologies.
The conference was attended by leading domestic and foreign scientists, representatives of government agencies and civil society of the Republic of Kazakhstan, law enforcement organizations, international and national experts, university professors and students.
In turn, the judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor Aizhan Zhakanbayeva noted the work of the famous Kazakhstani lawyer, Doctor of Law, Professor Gulnara Useynova. She said: "She has made a great contribution to the development of legal science in Kazakhstan. Gulnar Rakhimzhanovna's specialization was anti-corruption and legal reforms. His scientific works in this field are worthy of weight".
In turn, the head of the anti-corruption compliance service of the Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University named after Saken Seifullin, Kairzhan Tokushev, congratulated the participants of the meeting on the 90th anniversary of the university and announced the main goals and objectives of the anti-corruption compliance program. "The main focus of this program is to ensure the functioning of the organization in accordance with the requirements of the law, ethical standards and principles of integrity by preventing and managing corruption risks within the organization. At the same time, the program strengthens the authority of the organization, ensures its stability, and promotes the establishment of trusting relations between business and government agencies," - said Kairzhan Akhmetbekovich.
At the scientific meeting, the participants comprehensively discussed the following issues: definition of the concept and essence of corruption as a social phenomenon in the Republic of Kazakhstan; various approaches to understanding corruption; international legal and national experience in the formation of an anti-corruption culture; the role of civil society in the formation of an anti-corruption culture, legal education as the basis for the formation of integrity of subjects of education in the Republic of Kazakhstan, etc.
