On November 15, the Department of Japanese Studies held a meeting where students reported on their experiences with academic mobility programs. In addition to fourth-year students, third-year students Nurkaliev Nursultan and Oramalova Moldir shared their experiences of studying in Japan. They studied at the University of Tsukuba from March to August this year.

The academic mobility program in the Department of Japanese Studies is well-organized due to agreements between KazNU and several Japanese universities. This academic year, 13 out of 24 third-year students have gone to study at various universities in Japan. For example, Ruslan Akimniyazov and Assel Bakdauletkyzy are studying at Kanazawa University; Adilet Baurzhanov, Dmitry Klevtsov, and Malika Rakhymzhan are at Hokkaido University; Miras Bekbolat and Ayala Mundabekova are at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies; Anel Dyusembai, Marzhan Maratkyzy, Balnur Serikbai, and Rukhaniyat Turar are at the University of Tsukuba; while Daria Kapenova and Aben Sagimbekov are at Sophia University. Some students are studying for a year, while others are there for six months. Their programs are conducted in both Japanese and English. Many receive JASSO scholarships, and some are funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan.

It is worth mentioning that some students have gone to study in Japan for the second time. Last academic year, Miras Bekbolat and Ayala Mundabekova studied at Bunkyo Gakuin University, while Dmitry Klevtsov attended the University of Tsukuba.

"As future Japanologists, we consider these study trips to be a valuable learning experience. We hope to return to Japan in the future with even greater goals," the students remarked.
