The contribution of enzymology to solving the problem of eliminating hunger, ensuring food safety and improving their quality, as well as assistance for sustainable agricultural developmen

On December 04, 2024, at 10.00-10:50 a.m. at 519 and from 11:00-11:50 in 335 classrooms of GUK-6, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Shoinbekova S.A., Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Atabaeva S.D., Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Kenzhebaeva S.S. as part of the study disciplines: «Applied Enzymology» conducted the lecture with 3rd year students of the specialty «06B05103 – Biotechnology» on the topic: «The contribution of enzymology to solving the problem of eliminating hunger, ensuring food safety and improving their quality, as well as assistance for sustainable agricultural development».

     The opening speech was made by Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Shoinbekova S.A. Then the students' reports were heard: «The problem of hunger, the search for its solution», «The possibilities of enzymology in solving the problem of eliminating hunger», «The use of enzymes in waste-free food production», «Enzymology in solving the problems of the agro-industrial complex of the countries», «The contribution of enzymology in obtaining organic and GMO products in solving the problems of eliminating hunger».    The students discussed with great interest the prospects for the development of agriculture, biotechnology, enzymology, noting the problems that exist today, discussed the problems of shortage of clean water, the feasibility of creating and using GMOs, safe chemical plant protection products, etc. An active discussion took place. Then the students organized games where they showed their erudition and theoretical training.    The students noted that it is necessary to start small - yourself, that is, to treat water, the environment, food products, and food waste disposal carefully and rationally. The students reacted very responsibly to the preparation and holding of this event: reports and presentations were competently prepared, they actively worked with literature, made posters, which is a good indicator of their professional level, showed personal qualities and patriotism.
