KazNU and "Kazselezashchita" have combined scientific potential
As part of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4 and 17, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the State Institution "Kazselezashchita" of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of science, education and practical activities.
This document strengthens the partnership between the university and the government agency and aims to improve the efficiency of emergency prevention and response, develop scientific research, and implement advanced technologies.
During their visit to KazNU, representatives of the State Institution "Kazselezashchita" got acquainted with the history of the university in the museum, participated in a tour of the Faculty of Geography and Natural Resource Management, and also visited the innovative center "Farabi HUB," leading scientific laboratories, and the Kazakhstan-China and other centers. This agreement opens up new opportunities for joint scientific and educational activities.
The main areas of cooperation will include organizing joint research, sharing experience and scientific developments. In addition, the memorandum envisions the development and implementation of educational programs, conducting workshops, training sessions, and advanced training courses, as well as supporting the employment of university graduates.
Joint research is planned to develop innovative technologies for protecting the population from natural disasters such as avalanches, mudflows, and landslides. The memorandum also includes the exchange of technical information, the use of unique equipment, organizing scientific internships for master's and doctoral students, as well as conducting industrial and pre-graduation internships for students.
The cooperation between KazNU and the State Institution "Kazselezashchita" will allow for the implementation of advanced methods and technologies, ensure the preparation of highly qualified specialists, and contribute to the development of scientific research in the field of emergency protection.
