SDG-16: A round table on the topic «Ways to form an anti-corruption culture in society» was held

On January 29, a round table on the topic «Ways to form an anti-corruption culture in society» was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, organized by the «Conscious Generation» student club.

The main goal of the event was to discuss important aspects of forming an anti-corruption culture, identify effective methods and determine the role of each member of society in this process.The round table was organized within the framework of «№16 of the Sustainable Development Goals: Peace, Justice and Effective Institutions».

The meeting was specially attended by Nurgisayev Serikbay Urykbayuly, Advisor to the Rector of the University, and Begemov Ilyas Pernebekovich, Chief Specialist of the «Compliance» Control Service. Serikbay Urykbayuly gave a lecture on the topic «Anti-corruption Policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan» and shared his experience.

The project was attended by active members of the student club «Sanaly Urpak» of Turan University, KazNU, Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University and the Higher Medical College. The participants defended their reports on the fight against corruption, discussed topical issues and proposed new ideas.

At the end of the event, the students who showed their activity were awarded with letters of appreciation. The organizers said that such events increase the legal literacy of young people and contribute to the formation of a just society. In addition, students from the participating universities established new partnerships with each other and shared their goals.
