The main goal of the expert session was to improve the quality of educational programs by evaluating their effectiveness and implementing innovative approaches in the context of harmonizing the labor market and education. The participants discussed the development of practical recommendations for the design of educational programs and exchanged experiences with experts and young scientists.
The key topics discussed during the session included:
• Designing a portfolio of educational programs for advanced workforce preparation.
• Preventive training of specialists through the "My Profession - My Future" project.
• Inclusive training of teachers.
• Dual education and its challenges.
• The use of artificial intelligence in higher education.
• The introduction of micro-qualifications in educational programs.
One of the important aspects of the event was the discussion of current issues regarding the transformation of educational programs in line with labor market requirements and the introduction of new educational standards, including the use of artificial intelligence and adaptive courses.
The session was moderated by Altai Kazmagambetov, a member of the Board and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
This conference was also directly linked to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). The topics discussed, such as inclusive education, dual education, and the use of artificial intelligence, directly contribute to improving the quality of education, enhancing the qualifications of specialists, and preparing them for the labor market requirements. This, in turn, supports economic growth and strengthens cooperation between universities, government agencies, and businesses, fully aligning with the principles of the SDGs.
