On March 4, 2025, Kulbaeva, M.S., Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Biophysics, Biomedicine, and Neurosciences, conducted a lecture within the framework of SDG 3 on the topic of “Stopping the Epidemics of AIDS, Tuberculosis, Malaria, and Tropical Diseases by 2030” with the aim of promoting healthy lifestyles and well-being for all people of any age

One of the biggest problems of the 21st century is the global spread of infectious diseases. AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria and tropical diseases threaten the lives of millions of people and negatively affect the socio-economic development of society. In this regard, the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the world community, has set a goal to stop the epidemics of these diseases by 2030. The only way to achieve this goal is to develop a healthy lifestyle.

The seminar was attended by biology students and faculty members. The presentations focused on the current state of infectious diseases, the causes of their spread, and their impact on public health and the economy. Participants discussed international best practices for disease prevention and control, as well as ways to improve healthcare measures in Kazakhstan
