On February 4, 2025, Anastasia Pavlovna Slashinina, a PhD student at the Department of Philosophy of the Samara National Research University named after Academician S. P. Korolev, along with her colleagues, attended the exhibition "The Other Side of the Forest" by contemporary Chinese artist Lu Lin. This event was held as part of a pedagogical practice, providing participants with the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in practice, discuss conceptual approaches to art and cultural analysis, and deepen their research in the field of the philosophy of art.

Organizers of the Exhibition:

- Candidate of Philosophical Sciences A. O. Omirbekova,

- Supervisor of Pedagogical Practice, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences M. B. Alikbayeva,

- First-year PhD student A. S. Oralkul.

Their contribution to the organization of the event helped create a productive academic environment for discussions and the analysis of the presented works of art.

"The Other Side of the Forest" was presented as an artistic project exploring themes of nature, mythology, and human perception of reality. In his works, Lu Lin combines traditional and modern painting techniques, merging philosophical reflections on human interaction with the environment with the symbolism of ancient Chinese myths and rituals.

The exhibition visit became an essential part of the course "Anthropological Study of Myths, Rituals, and Symbols." It allowed participants to gain a deeper understanding of the following topics:

- The significance of symbolism in contemporary art,

- Interpretation of mythological motifs in visual images,

- Cultural codes used in artistic discourse,

- The role of ritual in shaping aesthetic perception.

The "The Other Side of the Forest" exhibition served as an important educational and research event, contributing to the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical analysis of works of art. This event provided future researchers in the philosophy of art with the opportunity to expand the scope of their academic exploration and strengthen academic ties between various educational and cultural institutions.
