A Scientific Seminar on “Saka-Wusun Culture and the Golden Man” Held at the Department of Sinology

On April 1, 2025, a scientific seminar on the topic “Saka-Wusun Culture and the Golden Man” was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies. The event was organized as part of the research work of Kurbanali Zhazira, a second-year doctoral student in the Department of Sinology, specializing in “8D02209 – Oriental Studies.”
The seminar was attended by professors, doctoral students, master's students, and researchers interested in Chinese culture. The aim of the event was to provide an overview of the Saka-Wusun culture and offer a comprehensive insight into the Wusun state. Additionally, archaeological research related to the doctoral dissertation topic was discussed. The seminar covered topics such as the formation of the Wusun state system, their culture, way of life, and beliefs. Furthermore, aspects such as the symbolism of statehood, spiritual values, and various historical perspectives based on the Saka-Wusun culture were analyzed.
As a result of the seminar, it was decided to prepare a scientific publication and organize additional meetings for a deeper exploration of the topic.
