Young scholars of the Department of Chinese Studies attended a lecture on China’s global presence
On September 23 of this year, master’s students, doctoral candidates, and young scholars of the Department of Chinese Studies attended the lecture “Global China’s Reach: New Methods to Understand China’s Expanding Presence”, delivered by Maria Adele Carrai, Assistant Professor at NYU Shanghai.
The event took place at the CAPS Unlock (Central Asian Policy Studies) office, established with the support of the Soros Foundation in Kazakhstan. Over the course of one hour, participants were introduced to new approaches to studying the concept of “Global China” and discussed the scale, scope, and complexity of China’s expanding presence worldwide.
The lecture sparked great interest among the audience and became a platform for exchanging ideas and academic perspectives on China’s current development trends and its influence on international processes.
