24 september, 2025

In the face of modern environmental challenges, it is especially important to foster a responsible attitude of young people toward nature and to involve students in practical environmental protection activities. The Concept for the Development of Environmental Culture “Taza Kazakhstan” (2024–2029) provides broad opportunities for young people to take part in such initiatives, combining education, volunteering, and care for nature.

On September 24, 2025, 2nd-year students of the “Microbiology” program, Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, Department of Biotechnology, under the guidance of Assistant Professor M.A. Abdulzhanova, took part in an ecological campaign within the framework of the “Taza Kazakhstan” Concept (2024–2029).

The goal of the event was to develop environmental culture among young people, foster a respectful attitude toward nature, and engage students in real ecological initiatives.

During the eco-practice, students cleaned the area along the city’s green zones and conducted short educational lectures for schoolchildren on waste separation.

Such activities are important not only for maintaining environmental cleanliness but also for educating a new generation of citizens who are ready to take responsibility for the future of the country’s ecosystems. Participation in these actions helps students develop a sense of involvement, strengthen teamwork skills, and demonstrates that every individual’s contribution truly matters.

For the students, this was not only valuable practical experience but also a vivid example of how study can be combined with active and meaningful leisure.
