Successful practices of active longevity are considered

The international forum "Experience of active longevity and development prospects" was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The event was organized by the Institute of Advanced Training and Additional Education of KazNU together with the Center for Active Longevity under the Office of Employment and Social Programs of Almaty city.
The purpose of the forum is to study international experience in supporting senior citizens, discuss modern technologies in social care and healthcare, and prepare practical recommendations for government agencies, educational institutions, and NGOs.
Representatives of government agencies, the social sphere, university professors, international experts and researchers in the field of demography, gerontology and public health took part in the work.
Margulan Ibraimov, Vice-rector for Research and Innovation at KazNU, made a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of the forum and support for the idea of a "University for all ages". The university is developing programs on digital literacy, healthy lifestyle, social volunteerism and intergenerational mentoring. The Silver University projects involve senior citizens in education, science and creativity, increasing their social activity and quality of life.
The forum program included panel discussions, during which domestic and foreign experts discussed issues of longevity, management decisions and social policy. The participants got acquainted with the activities of active longevity centers in Almaty and the region, studied service models, digital services and social support measures.
There was also a plenary session "Scientific and practical achievements on longevity in the global community", a round table "Social partnership in the field of active longevity", an exhibition of decorative and applied arts, performances by creative teams, workshops and open classes.
Following the results of the forum, a package of recommendations was prepared for the development of an ecosystem of active longevity, including the integration of social services, the expansion of educational programs for the elderly, the introduction of digital solutions and the strengthening of age inclusion.
