SDG 4,16: Financial Literacy – The Life Capital of Youth!

At the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management and the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, informational sessions were organized to enhance students’ financial literacy. The events featured experts from one of the country’s leading financial institutions – “Otbasý Bank” JSC, who provided students with essential knowledge and practical guidance.

The bank’s representatives explained how to effectively manage personal budgets, develop a culture of saving, explore investment opportunities, and benefit from government programs. They also highlighted the importance of secure banking practices and gave comprehensive answers to students’ questions.

The sessions were held in an open dialogue format, enabling participants to receive practical advice and observe in practice how to open savings accounts and use financial resources efficiently.

The events generated strong interest among students. Many of them, guided by the expertise of the specialists, discovered new ideas for shaping their future and learned effective ways to manage their finances.

Such initiatives aimed at fostering financial culture not only encourage young people to make responsible decisions from an early age but also contribute significantly to their professional growth and personal development.
