As part of Sustainable Development Goal 12 – “Responsible Consumption and Production,” a discussion session based on a social survey was held among 3rd-year students majoring in “Natural and Technogenic Risks” The topic of the class was “Formation of Environmental Culture.”
The purpose of the event was to enhance students’ environmental awareness and responsibility, to promote understanding of sustainable consumption and production principles, and to develop skills of careful attitude toward the environment in the context of natural and technogenic risks.
During the discussion, participants addressed the importance of environmental consciousness in society, resource conservation, waste reduction, and recycling. The survey results showed that most students are ready to adopt environmentally responsible behavior in their daily lives.
According to the results of the event, the students emphasized that the main ways to enhance environmental culture are education, social engagement, and personal responsibility. Such activities contribute to the application of sustainable development principles in the future professional practice of specialists.
