SDG-4: Employee Training on Prevention of Professional Burnout
                Today, the Psychological Support Service of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a training session on the topic “Prevention of Professional Burnout” for university staff.
In today’s fast-paced work environment, many professionals experience constant stress, high responsibility, and emotional overload. These factors can lead to professional burnout, fatigue, loss of motivation, and decreased job satisfaction. Recognizing the early signs of burnout and learning effective self-regulation techniques are essential for maintaining psychological well-being.
The goal of the training was to raise participants’ awareness of their emotional state, teach stress management techniques, and develop strategies to maintain emotional balance.
During the session, participants:
- learned about the stages and symptoms of professional burnout;
 - completed a self-assessment test to identify their level of emotional exhaustion;
 - explored personal sources of stress and ways to overcome them;
 - created a “resource map” to identify what helps them recharge and stay motivated;
 - practiced breathing and relaxation techniques for emotional recovery.

The training took place in a warm and supportive atmosphere. Participants shared personal experiences, discussed the importance of maintaining a balance between work and rest, and reflected on ways to care for their mental well-being.
At the end of the session, each participant developed a personal anti-stress plan — practical steps for preventing burnout and sustaining emotional resilience.
Such trainings help employees maintain motivation, increase job satisfaction, and strengthen team spirit.
